Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health Safety Environment Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

About the Role

The Health Safety Environment Coordinator provides advice and hands-on support for health safety improvement, promotion and education by coordinating and completing activities across ship repair projects and dock operation and reticulated services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing certification to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in conjunction with the HSE Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to address health safety risks, ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and appropriate controls are developed, implemented and maintained.
  • Complete site and Group health safety reporting and attend relevant meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the review and update of health safety documentation including instructions and safe operating procedures.
  • Support work areas with completing necessary checks and risk assessments prior to implementing changes that may have an impact on health safety.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and planning for the site, including coordinating emergency evacuations of buildings and vessels.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of workplace health safety and environmental equipment.
  • Conduct health safety inspections and audits of workplace activities, contractors and suppliers.
  • Analyse trends in health safety hazards and incidents and raise improvement opportunities with the HSE Manager.
