City of Cockburn, Australia beBeePlanner Full time $100,000 - $150,000

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Australia's national security.

About the Opportunity

As an Electrical Maintenance Planner, you'll be responsible for developing detailed work orders for electrical maintenance tasks on Collins Class Submarines and in workshop environments.

Your work will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance schedule is fully supported and approved, aligning with ASC processes, safety, quality, efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability across planning systems and databases.

Responsibilities
  • Review and determine correct maintenance standards and drawings to develop consistent work packs.
  • Generation of work orders and work scope in an efficient manner in line with business priorities.
  • Ensure work can be carried out safely and reliably by relevant personnel.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise and revise work plans as needed.
  • Interpret complex engineering specifications, documentation, recommendations and work instructions to support planning activities.
Requirements

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in electrical maintenance and/or engineering. Ideally, you bring at least 7 years post-trade experience, but we value capability and attitude just as much as tenure.

You're comfortable working independently but also know how to collaborate with others to get the job done. Your communication skills allow you to engage confidently across all levels of the organisation, and you're someone who can influence, encourage, and support teams to deliver accurate and reliable outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Electrical trade qualification or engineering technician background.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within shipbuilding, submarine, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with IFS ERP (desirable, not essential).
