Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed work orders for electrical maintenance tasks. These tasks support safe and efficient execution by trade personnel on board Collins Class Submarines and within workshop environments.

Your work will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance schedule is fully supported and approved. All planning activities must align with ASC processes, with a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability across corporate and RAN planning systems and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and determine correct maintenance standards and drawings to develop consistent work packs.
  • Generation of work orders and work scope in an efficient manner in line with business and work group priorities.
  • Ensure work can be carried out safely and reliably by relevant personnel.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise and revise work plans as needed.
  • Interpret complex engineering specifications, documentation, recommendations and work instructions to support planning activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • A strong background in electrical maintenance and/or engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within shipbuilding, submarine, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Particularly Excel.
  • Experience with IFS ERP (Desirable).
