Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Wine Service Professional to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional wine service to discerning guests.

You will work closely with our experienced Sommeliers and Head Sommelier to ensure seamless execution of events and uncompromising standards of excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who possesses a deep understanding of fine wines, has a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to provide personalized recommendations to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all areas are properly stocked and set up ready for service
  • Provide effective wine and beverage service in the restaurant at all times
  • Have full knowledge of the wine list to assist guests with their choices and make appropriate recommendations
  • Be aware of all bookings and any special guest requirements
  • Assist in running wine tasting sessions as required by the team
  • Resolve any guest queries relating to wine and drink service
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all wine service equipment

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of cost control
  • Awareness of and adherence to company procedures relating to beverage SOP's
  • Previous experience as a sommelier/waiter in a Fine Dining restaurant is preferable
  • A WSET qualification would be desirable but not essential
