As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in our Kooragang Island Depot based at John Holland. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Effective administration of plant requests, scheduling, and inventory management within Maximo.
  • Ensuring seamless logistics for plant and equipment movement, including customer site delivery and retrieval.
  • Maintaining the Kooragang facility's safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinating depot operations, including asset decommissioning and disposal arrangements.
  • Collecting and recording plant equipment log sheets and meter readings.
  • Collaborating with the Plant Superintendent and Mechanical Supervisor to ensure materials and resources are available and work is completed on time.
  • Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in prioritizing workshop activities and allocating resource requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate asset locations and projected hire end dates within Maximo.
  • Conducting inspections, completing reports, and notifying projects as required.
  • Optimizing transportation solutions for asset movement.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient handling of plant requests.
  • Entering on- and off-hire assets within Maximo.
  • Creating work orders and purchase orders within Maximo as needed.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking candidates with:

  • A higher school certificate or trade qualification in a mechanical field.
  • Three years' experience in logistics, construction, plant hire, or a similar commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with Asset Management systems and knowledge of relevant administrative practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
  • Exposure to financial budgets, asset management, and plant maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the Infrastructure, Transportation, or Construction industry.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, and/or asset management.
  • Financial management skills, including cost control and budget adherence.
  • Awareness of Safety, Quality, and Environment Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) legislation.

  • A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
