About the Role

The Head of Business Insights and Analysis will lead the business insight function, leveraging data to drive strategic and operational business decisions. This role requires understanding the commercial benefit of the company's data, leveraging and protecting its value. The successful candidate will develop customer-centric data procedures and policies, working closely with all business units to collect, prepare, organize, and analyze data assets while ensuring the company meets industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a coherent business intelligence/data strategy to meet the changing demands of the company strategy, identifying data-driven opportunities, defining data governance frameworks, and establishing data management processes.
  • Lead a team of analysts to ensure the objectives of the function are delivered in high-quality output to business partners.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities across the business to optimize outcomes, predictive/forward-looking analytics to identify trends, and assist with scenario planning. Consult on the generation of new business and product innovation to ensure achievement of Camp Australia's strategic plan and growth targets.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret complex data, develop alternatives, and present findings and recommendations in support of company operations.
  • Advise and assist with strategic planning, policy, and business analysis. Conduct 'deep dive' analysis to support commercial decision-making for specific initiatives and projects.
  • Work with data owners to ensure data quality through measurement, alerting, and investigating outliers, and data error detection.
  • Design, build, and launch reliable data tools and dashboards that provide real-time performance data and insights across operational teams.

Requirements

  • A data enthusiast with excellent business acumen and stakeholder skills.
  • 5 or more years' experience in leadership with a background in Commercial or Business Analytics.
  • Project management experience, presenting skills, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, and an understanding of SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL).
  • Ability to form trusted relationships across the management team and be seen as a partner of choice on all key commercial decisions.
