Job Title

Support Worker is a crucial role in the recovery-based service model at our Mt Isa Recovery Centre.

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Casual Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in a safe and structured environment, aligned with our organisational guidelines.

  • Build positive relationships with participants, encouraging self-determination and active involvement in their recovery journey.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with participant activities and communicate mitigation strategies to management.
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, including light cleaning, room preparation for new arrivals, and transportation to appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Promptly report any identified risks affecting participants, staff, or the organisation to the appropriate supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Certificate-level qualification and/or prior experience or on-the-job training in a similar role.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (preferred).
  • A valid Driver's Licence.
  • A WWCC – Blue card.
