Culinary Expertise Wanted

We seek a highly motivated Demi Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade at the Sydney Domestic Lounges. This role demands a genuine passion for food quality and a commitment to delivering outstanding service experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of your designated area, ensuring seamless preparation and delivery of dishes.
  • Provide timely assistance to other sections when needed, while guiding and supporting junior chefs in their development.
  • Pursue culinary excellence by maintaining high standards of food presentation, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and compliance regulations, with a strong understanding of HACCP protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver cohesive and memorable guest experiences.
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Demi Chef or similar role within a high-volume commercial kitchen.
  • Familiarity with fine-dining presentation styles and cooking techniques, covering all sections (cold larder, pans, grill, sauces).
  • Diverse knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
  • Experience working in a HACCP environment, with a deep understanding of food safety compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive workplace culture.
  • Ability to adhere to portion control, food waste, and production procedures.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, with full availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as required.
