Service Lead

About the Role

This is a leadership position in an early education and care setting.

You will oversee the operational aspects of the kindergarten as the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader.

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the kindergartens
  • Mentoring and coaching of the teaching teams
  • Providing high-quality programs of education and care based on strengths, dispositions, skills, and interests of the children.
  • Ensuring the program adheres to agreed centre philosophy, purpose, values, and vision, VEYLDF, EYLDF V2.0, NQS, Child Safe standards, as well as the Code of Conduct.
  • Monitoring quality and compliance and adhering to policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A proven ability to work in a cohesive team environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development (3-6 years old)
  • Experience in working in partnership with other services and agencies
  • Demonstrate personal values aligned with organisational values
  • Proven skill and experience in working in an early education and care setting
  • Solid knowledge of Early Childhood legislation, policy, reforms, and frameworks
  • Experience in providing leadership, management, mentoring, and coaching
  • Solid knowledge of QIP, compliance, and SRF requirements
  • Positive mindset, problem-solving skills, good communication, conflict resolution, and innovation
  • Ideal qualifications: 3-4 year Bachelor's degree, as recognised by ACECQA, and minimum 5 years leadership experience
