As a Graduate Legal Officer, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Parole Board Queensland through providing legal advice and administrative assistance.
">- You will be accountable for ensuring the Legal Services Unit supports the Board by assisting colleagues with preparation of timely advice, reports, correspondence, and briefing notes on legal issues.
- You will also foster a team culture that upholds strong morale and embraces diversity as a core value.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate knowledge, skills, and experiences that align with the Leadership competencies for Queensland Individual Contributor Vision, Results, and Accountability.
Daily Responsibilities- Provide legal advice on Parole Board Queensland activities and processes, recommend outcomes and decisions, emerging or current case law, legislative governance, and risk mitigation.
- Support the Board through provision of administrative and legal support in accordance with statutory obligations.
This entry-level position offers opportunities to develop skills within an environment that provides high standards of service delivery through diligence, efficiency, collaboration, sharing of knowledge, and supporting coworkers, stakeholders, community, prisoners, and offenders.
