Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk strategies that align with business objectives and strengthen our risk culture.
- Provide expert oversight and guidance on day-to-day business risk operations, ensuring effective risk mitigation and incident management.
- Enhance and present recommendations to improve risk and compliance practices, driving business value and delivering results.
- Collaborate with Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment across the three lines of accountability.
- Design and test key controls to ensure they're effective and aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Support business continuity and resilience activities, including third-party oversight and incident response.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with W&CM leadership teams, helping them take ownership of risks, controls, and incidents.
- Partner with various stakeholders to deliver engaging learning initiatives that build awareness of regulatory obligations.
- Facilitate risk and control workshops to foster a proactive risk culture and drive process improvements.
We seek a highly experienced professional who can balance technical expertise with leadership acumen and collaboration skills.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong experience in operational risk, compliance, or business assurance—ideally in financial services or wealth management, with at least 8 years working experience.
- A sound understanding of risk and compliance frameworks, control testing, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage incidents and embed continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to educate, influence, and drive change.
