Behaviour Support Practitioner

This role involves providing expert consultation, case review, and intervention services to individuals with complex needs. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will drive impactful behaviour support services and empower clients to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver tailored behaviour support plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive services that meet the goals of clients.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioural support strategies that respond to participants' needs and promote positive outcomes.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff and carers on best practices in behaviour support.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure effective service delivery and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • NDIS registration as a proficient practitioner or above and a Behaviour Practitioner Suitability Endorsement Letter from NDIS QSC.
  • A degree in allied health, social science, or behavioural science, or currently studying towards one.
  • At least 12 months experience working as a positive behaviour practitioner.
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles, methodologies, NDIS, and DSA 2006 legislations.
  • A current unencumbered Class C Driver's Licence.
  • An approved Working with Children Suitability Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Experience and/or understanding of quality functions within an organisational structure.
