Operations Director for Victoria Concrete

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our Victorian Concrete business.
This critical leadership role will be based in Melbourne and is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring strategies for Concrete operations. As the key representative of the team, you will focus on improving operational performance, enhancing product quality, minimising cost, optimising plant availability, and exceeding customer service expectations, whilst ensuring a safe working environment.
This permanent, full-time opportunity has coverage over operations of circa 35 sites and requires travel to these locations. The successful candidate will report into the General Manager Concrete.
About the Role- Lead your team with a relentless focus on operational safety, compliance, quality and respect.
- Develop annual budgets and ensure resources are applied to deliver budgeted volume, price, cost, production and earnings targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure plant and equipment are fully operational and meet legislative requirements for safety and environmental compliance.
- Manage people and assets to match capacity and changes in demand ensuring optimal cost and productivity levels are maintained relative to sales volume.
We offer a competitive salary package of around AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus eligibility to participate in short term incentive programs.
Key Requirements- Demonstrated experience in an operational leadership role within an industrial business such as within construction, manufacturing, logistics or mining industries.
- High degree of financial literacy and commercial acumen with exposure to the development and control of operational budgets.
