About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a trade qualification in automotive or mechanical engineering to join our team in Melbourne, AU. As a Regional Technical Manager, you will provide expert technical support across our truck brands—Mack, Volvo, and UD - covering the designated area.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer and dealer service support as well as breakdown functions within the designated Area of Responsibility.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and dealers, conducting regular visits to understand needs and provide feedback on dealer network performance.
  • Working closely with the Product Support and Service Market Development teams to enhance dealer operations and support service procedures.
  • Overseeing technical and commercial goodwill, managing warranty claims, service agreements, and resolving customer conflicts.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, manage escalations, and ensure timely technical resolutions for our dealers and customers. Your goal will be to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold our uptime promise.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A trade qualification in automotive or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven track record in technical support or a similar role within the automotive or heavy vehicle industry.
  • Strong business sense with the ability to make strategic decisions, balancing technical and commercial goals.
  • Success in leading cross-functional teams in technical support, engineering, or operations.
  • Skilled in developing service solutions, resolving complex issues, and managing customer conflicts.
