About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at McMahon Services, a leading construction services and environmental contractor. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for strategically managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and proactively addressing potential delays to ensure timely project completion.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure safety for all stakeholders.
  • Address project challenges and conflicts in a timely and decisive manner, seeking innovative solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Monitor and review progress reports to align with broader outcome goals.
  • Manage and review contractors, sub-contractors, service suppliers, and other project vendors, directing improvements as required.
  • Review and approve Notices of Delay, variations, EOT submissions, and progress claims.
  • Review and approve supplier/subcontractor invoices.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work and regularly report on project status.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the project team for effective project delivery.
  • Monitor project cashflow and apply cost control against budget.
Requirements
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Construction White Card and Current driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment.
  • Competency in Project Management software (e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project, Primavera), ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle e-business), and project management platforms (e.g., InEight, Aconex, Procore).
  • Sound understanding of Australian Standards (AS).
  • Experience in leading, managing, and motivating teams.
  • Problem-solving and innovative approach and ability to work under pressure.
