Speech Pathology Services Manager Role

This is a key leadership position in the outpatient rehabilitation caseload at Liverpool Hospital.


About The Opportunity

As a senior speech pathologist, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing speech pathology services, providing clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to team members.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee speech pathology services for the outpatient rehabilitation caseload.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge in the management of acquired communication impairment and oropharyngeal dysphagia.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development, and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in speech pathology accredited for eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience in comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting, and delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation for patients with acquired communication impairments.
  • Knowledge and experience working with patients and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice (EBP) and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation.
