Aboriginal Health Professional

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will provide primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. Your role will involve working closely with local communities, advocating for patients, and delivering culturally safe health services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and education initiatives.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a relevant Certificate III health qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Understanding of cultural issues impacting on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
