**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced individual to maintain the course proper, training tracks, and grounds at one of our Racecourses. The successful candidate will ensure they are always presented in the best possible condition. This position plays a vital role in the success of our carnival race days and in creating a memorable experience for all who attend.

**Responsibilities**

  • Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens, and maintenance instructions.
  • Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers, and general spray operations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial, and other surfaces.

**Requirements**

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management.
  • General operational and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Appropriate licenses to operate specialist machinery.
  • Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader, and Excavator.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals.
  • A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
