As a Public Housing Specialist with the Victorian Government, you will play a vital role in delivering a client-centered service to individuals and families seeking housing assistance or residing in public housing.

About the Role

This dynamic position involves working with vulnerable clients to support their health and wellbeing while in public housing. You will be responsible for tenancy and property management, ensuring awareness of tenant and landlord roles and responsibilities, and maintaining public properties to a good standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with tenants to assist and support them in maintaining their tenancies.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and complete required property reports.
  • Represent the department's interests in court or tribunal hearings as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenancy and property records.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategies that connect tenants to additional support services.
What You'll Be Doing

No two days will be the same in this role. You may spend time in the office completing administrative tasks, assessing client needs, and providing advice on housing options. Alternatively, you may conduct home visits, organize maintenance, and liaise with vulnerable renters to help them access necessary supports.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups.
  • Previous experience in a client-focused role is highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
