Senior Governance Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled governance professional to work closely with our newly appointed Board leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all corporate governance matters
  • Provide expert advice on interpretation of relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to support compliance
  • Coordinate and prepare Board papers and minutes
  • Convene and attend all Board meetings

The role is based in Sydney, three days per week, with potential to increase around Board time.

Additional responsibilities include strategic planning, risk management and implementation of best practices. A strong understanding of corporate law and regulation is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a distinguished career in complex governance, company secretarial matters, Board implementation and subsidiary governance.

They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the overall effectiveness of the Board and its committees.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.

A high level of professionalism, integrity and discretion is expected.
