Head of Learning Area

Job Summary
This is a six month fixed term, full-time position commencing with possible extension and/or permanency. The successful applicant will provide educational leadership within the school and the broader community, developing and promoting the school's vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and promote the school's vision, encouraging active participation from school staff, community volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide professional guidance to Design and Technology teachers, ensuring they stay informed on relevant curriculum issues.
- Facilitate teaching and learning outcomes, employing effective performance management strategies, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement engaging and relevant secondary school programs in Years 7 to 12 general technologies courses.
Requirements
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights.
- Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
- A valid Working With Children Check and consent to a National Criminal History Check.

- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and ability to apply it to ensure high educational outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage staff, physical, and financial resources.
