Job Description:
Kiara College is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Head of Learning Area (HOLA) – Technologies and Enterprise to join their leadership team.
The successful candidate will ideally extend the utilisation of the operational farm onsite to assist students to explore the use, development and impact of technologies in people's lives.
The HOLA Technologies should work collaboratively with the Executive and wider school leadership team; provide educational leadership within the Technologies department and across the school whilst promoting our vision and values across the wider school community.
The successful applicant should ideally have the ability to provide direction and purpose to staff, build team capacity and cohesion and promote an environment of positive quality learning experiences for all students.
Effective communication skills and a proven ability to lead curriculum development are required for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide educational leadership within the Technologies department and across the school
- Work collaboratively with the Executive and wider school leadership team
- Extend the utilisation of the operational farm onsite to assist students to explore the use, development and impact of technologies in people's lives
- Provide direction and purpose to staff, build team capacity and cohesion
- Promote an environment of positive quality learning experiences for all students
Requirements:
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students
- Ability to manage staff, physical and financial resources
