About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team at our manufacturing site in Tarpeena. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective running of Safety systems and programs to meet relevant targets in line with site business plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of the site leadership team to deliver Safety business principles and standards to the site.
  • Actively promote and be a site role model in the areas of Work Health Safety, Environment and Compliance.
  • Support the GM - Tarpeena & GM - Safety with the development of Safety & Compliance capability and teamwork within all levels of line management.
  • Ensure adherence to all aspects of business and legal compliance as they relate to the role.
  • Assist and support all site management and the Safety Committee to develop risk management plans and improvement plans.
  • Analyse Safety & Compliance events/incidents and prepare relevant business reports.
Requirements
  • Cert / Studies in OH&S (qual)
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent people leadership and management skills and committed to people development
  • Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
