Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse co-educational school from Kindergarten to Year 12. It has been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years.

The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a passionate and creative Secondary Art Teacher to join its secondary school community. This is a full-time, fixed-term role commencing on June 2, 2025, until the end of Term 4, 2025, with the possibility of extension.

We are seeking candidates who have a commitment to our College values, with a demonstrated ability to encourage, educate, and equip our students in achieving their personal best. Our supportive Christian school community prioritises staff wellbeing and fosters professional growth.

The successful applicant must:

  • Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
  • Be able to teach Art (VCE Art Creative Practice and Junior Art classes).
  • Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
  • Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities.
  • Have high-level communication and interpersonal skills.

Our Graduate Teacher Program includes time release, mentoring, equipping for Christian Education, and a comprehensive induction program that will help develop the skills and competencies needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.
