About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardening and Maintenance Field Staff to join our team at Helping Hand. As a key member of our gardening team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality gardening services to our clients living in their own homes and across our retirement village spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of gardening services to meet the needs of our clients, including mowing, edging, snipping, weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, sweeping, and litter collection.
  • Work with clients to provide great customer service and ensure their satisfaction with our services.
  • Undertake garden maintenance services across multiple sites, including safe equipment use and basic operator maintenance.
  • Deliver services that are connected, personalised, considerate, and caring.
  • Share your skills and knowledge with others to support their learning and development.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 1 year of gardening or nursery experience, or a Cert III Parks and Gardens Graduate/Horticulture.
  • A sound knowledge and experience of using gardening equipment.
  • The ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Current Australian driver license.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A registered, well-maintained, reliable, and insured vehicle.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately.
  • Good computer literacy, familiar with basic computer software, including email, word, and outlook.
  • Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook).
