Advanced Analytics Specialist

This role contributes to the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that support evidence-based decision-making across Comcare.

The work involves applying advanced analytical techniques to provide insights into emerging risks and trends, informing policy and business decisions.

Key responsibilities include maintaining existing analytic products, delivering one-off insights, and conducting exploratory analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Specialist resources are available to assist in identifying synergies and risks for deploying analytics applications across Comcare.

Requirements
  • Mandatory:
    • Relevant tertiary qualification from an Australian institution or equivalent experience.
    • Proficiency in R and/or Python for developing data science solutions.
    • Strong SQL skills for extracting, transforming, and analysing data.
  • Experience with Databricks for exploratory analysis and machine learning model development.
Eligibility Conditions
  • Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
  • Employee Health Declaration.
  • Six months probationary period for new engagements.
  • Baseline Security Clearance.
