One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced **Data Analyst **to work on multiple projects across Fraud and Corruption to prevent, detect and investigate internal and external fraud. You will be looking after the implementation of internal data matching algorithms to ensure precise and efficient results. The role will be based in **Canberra as well as remote work as flexible working arrangements are available. **The successful **Data Analyst **will be offered a rewarding non-ongoing fixed 12 month term.

The successful** Data Analyst **will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Interrogation of large and complex datasets to identify patterns and potentially fraudulent activities
- Requirements gathering and design solutions for data analysis in fraud detection projects
- Providing strategic intelligence support and advice to the Fraud Control Officer
- Developing and maintaining internal and external relationships with existing stakeholders

The successful **Data Analyst **will have experience in the following:

- Well developer and demonstrated modelling and programming experience using either Python, SQL or Power BI
- Experience working with large data and interconnected datasets
- Well established analytical skills and minimum 3 years experience as a Data Analyst
- Experience working on Fraud detection projects (desirable)
