Teaching Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a conducive learning environment that fosters student growth and development from Kindergarten to Year 6. This involves implementing effective teaching strategies, assessing student progress, and adapting instruction to meet diverse needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Learning Areas.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment based on Positive Behaviour for Learning principles.
  • Support students with varying abilities to ensure full participation in learning.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based Literacy and Numeracy programs.
  • Use assessment data to inform instruction and drive student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Holding Primary K–6 teaching qualifications is mandatory.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education or commitment to gain this level within 5 years is required.
  • NESA accreditation to teach in NSW is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills are necessary.
