
Aerospace Technicians Required for Aviation Engineering Position

The Defence sector is looking for skilled engineers to work on maintenance of military aircrafts. Successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, as well as maintaining technical documentation.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of mechanical systems such as hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic and propulsion systems, related system components and propellers.
- Inspection and fault diagnosis of avionic systems and components on fixed and on rotary wing aircraft.
- Production, maintenance and repair of sheet metal, bonded and non-metallic composite material and components on the aircraft.
- Maintenance of emergency escape systems, egress systems and aircraft weapon systems, from computers to stores and load the aircraft carries.
- Ensure all appropriate documentation for engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies and publication amendments are incorporated as directed.
- Report to the Team Leader all defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors and unserviceability's as they arise.
- Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorised level.
- Initiate quality, non-conformance or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent.
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance.
- Experience working with Defence Military Aircraft, preferably on Hawk Lead in Fighter and F35 programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
