Job Title: Insurance Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced solicitor to provide legal advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and third-party contribution.

  • Providing clients with timely, commercially sound and legally accurate advice.
  • Reviewing applicable case law and legislative changes.
  • Conducting effective legal research and analysis.
  • Attending settlement conferences and mediations.
  • Instructing counsel at court applications and trials.
  • Managing a robust workload and delivering services effectively.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders to achieve valued customer experience outcomes.
  • Developing an understanding of client operations and strategy.
  • Managing prospective client relationships.
  • Continual professional development and managing MCLE requirements.

About You:

  • A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience.
  • A desire to be an integral member of a strong team.
  • Excellent work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
  • A genuine commitment to customer experience.
  • Previous exposure to business development and a natural ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously.
  • Interested in establishing a long-term successful career.
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • A strong, plain language communication style.
  • Previous experience in managing workers' compensation common law claims is highly desirable.
