About This Role

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Migration and Application Modernisation Expert to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. In this role, you'll be responsible for migrating and modernising applications used to power our entire business.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions using MS technologies, including C# and .NET / .NetCore.
  • Lead design discussions to develop robust systems and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Operate and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and delivery of applications.
  • Mentor and coach developers to improve their skills and knowledge in cloud technologies and software engineering.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure the stability and security of the cloud platform.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of CI/CD strategies and tools, such as GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Octopus Deploy.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in solution design and architecture, with a focus on cloud migration and application modernisation.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent debugging skills with the ability to solve complex technical issues in .NET.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Hold strong technical coding standards and contribute extensively to code reviews.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to influence practices and mindsets in the team.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems across the CI/CD toolchain.

What You'll Need

  • Significant experience developing applications using MS technologies, including C# and .NET / .NetCore.
  • Sound knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
