Cloud Migration and Modernisation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Migration and Modernisation Expert to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of our Cloud Modernisation Crew, you will be responsible for migrating and modernising our applications to the cloud, ensuring they are simpler, faster, and more secure.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate and modernise our applications to the cloud, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Work closely with our application teams to ensure the stability and security of our cloud platform.
  • Develop and lead CI/CD strategies to automate our software delivery process.
  • Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our cloud platform.
Requirements
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills on.Net.
  • Excellent understanding of the infrastructure that runs.Net applications – IIS, Web Servers, Kestrel, Containers, etc.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance.
  • Passionate about DevOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improved initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
  • Good understanding of networking and network protocol.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills.
  • Hands-on skills with scripting.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
