About the Role

The Commercial and Business Support Officer is a key position within KBR, responsible for providing high-level support to the Defence sector. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management and procurement activities, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake contract management and procurement activities, including the review of contract deliverables and invoices.
  • Draft complex contract documentation, including Contract Change Proposals and Requests for Tender.
  • Manage procurement lifecycle on contracting activities, including coordination of legal and financial services.
  • Apply legal and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and lead strategies to address complex to very complex contracting issues.
  • Undertake business administration activities, including the drafting of correspondence and briefs.

Requirements

  • Australian Government security clearance of Baseline and ability to obtain an NV1.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant legal, business or commercial field or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience and practical knowledge of ASDEFCON contracts.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills and experience.
