Support Worker Role

The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive support services to clients in their own homes. This involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting client choice and positive routines, and enhancing life choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Promote client-centred care by implementing Calvary Home Care's Service Delivery Model.
  2. Work flexible shifts in set time blocks and pattern rostering.
  3. Operate client and company vehicles as required.
  4. Proactively support clients to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community.
  5. Report changes in clients' health, care plans, or if additional services are needed.
  6. Regularly review communications via email and other channels to stay updated on policies, procedures, and activities.
  7. Ensure your own health and safety, as well as that of others in the workplace.
  8. Protect client rights and confidentiality, maintaining dignity and privacy in care provision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Current full driver's license.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR.
  • Reliable motor vehicle with valid registration and comprehensive third-party insurance.
  • Smart mobile device.
  • NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain).
  • Access to the internet and experience with computers and applications.
  • A commitment to community service and personal fulfillment.
  • A desire to join a team dedicated to caring for others within a mission-driven organisation.
