You will be supported to gain experience in your role as a PCA.

**What does a Personal Carer Do?**
- Build meaningful working relationships with residents
- Personal care - bathroom/incontinence assistance/supporting and showers and dressing residents
- Serving meals and supporting residents with a meal
- Wellbeing - talking with residents and participating in activities
- Cleaning - tidying rooms, changing linen
- Administration - computer based documentation

Essential to your success:

- Currently studying Cert III or IV Individual Support (Ageing ) and due to be qualified within 6 months of commencing employment
- Excellent communication skills - listening, observing and speaking
- A passion for helping others
- Ability to think on your feet
- Motivation to learn, grow and develop
- Ability to work well in a team
- Problem solving
- Ability to build and maintain relationships among residents, colleagues and supervisors
