Early Learning Education and Care

YMCA Victoria's Early Learning Centres provide safe environments for children aged six weeks to five years old. With seventeen Centres across Victoria and one in NSW, we deliver high quality early learning education and care.

The School Readiness Funding Coach will play a key role in supporting our Early Learning Centres to implement a systematic approach to School Readiness Funding. This involves coaching and mentoring centre-based staff to improve practice and outcomes for children enrolled in funded kindergarten programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support centres to develop and submit their School Readiness Funding plan
  • Track and monitor each centre's engagement and completion of their plan
  • Deliver coaching and mentoring to each identified site in line with their plan

This is a part-time role, working three days a week on a maximum term contract until 2026. You will be officially based at Box Hill, but work across our Vic Centres and from home.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will have extensive knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework. You will also need experience in teaching and foundation knowledge of School Readiness Funding Priority Areas.

Qualifications required include a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Working with Children Check, VIT registration and an Australian Children's Foundation Online Safeguarding Children Certificate.
