Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our NSW Operations Team in the Hunter Valley Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on health, safety, and environmental matters to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HSE advice and support to projects and sites to resolve HSE issues and improve HSE processes and performance.
- Coordinate the implementation of the HSE Management System, maintain HSE registers, and prepare HSE information for dissemination to others.
- Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
- Ensure all HSE processes and activities comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
- Facilitate meetings, training sessions, site inductions, toolbox topics, and group discussions on HSE matters.
- Establish effective relationships with project/business unit HSE and management teams.
Requirements
- Experience in the NSW resources sector is highly desirable but not essential.
- Certificate IV qualification in OHS and/or Environmental or related area is essential.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar is preferred.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, mining legislation, and industry standards combined with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- An innovative approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and successful delivery methods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively.
- A proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
