Therapeutic Youth Worker

Role: Therapeutic Youth Worker

You will be a key support for children and young people aged 12-17 who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse, or neglect. Some may also have a disability or complex medical needs requiring specialized support, including personal care.

As a member of our dedicated team, you will ensure a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive, supporting them to learn independent life skills, develop problem-solving skills, and build positive relationships.

  • Essential Qualifications: Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher) OR hold relevant experience and complete Diploma qualification offered by LWB.
  • Key Experience: Experience supporting Children, Young People, and/or People with disability - Ideally within a residential care setting.
  • Certifications: A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate.
  • Support Requirements: Willingness to assist with activities of daily living, including personal care (if required).

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check, and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
