Sydney, New South Wales, Australia beBeeOpportunity Full time
Middle Office – Capital Markets Role

Our client is a highly respected Global Investment Bank with a growing presence in the Australian market. As their local trading and sales footprint expands, a newly created opportunity has been created for a Middle Office Analyst to join their Capital Markets business in a front-office aligned support and control role.

This is an ideal move for someone with a background in Capital Markets Operations (middle or back office) who wants to get closer to the action, working closely with Sales, Trading, Clients, and global operations teams to ensure seamless execution and resolution of trade-related activity.

The Role involves acting as the conduit between the local Front Office and offshore Operations teams in Asia and Europe, ensuring timely trade booking, allocation, validation, settlements, and life cycle events across a broad product set.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing trade allocations (FX, Bonds, Credit) and overseeing smooth deal flow.
  • Supporting settlement processes, tracking fails, and acting as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responding to post-trade client queries including novations, allocation adjustments, and booking errors.
  • Coordinating with offshore Middle and Back Office teams to ensure timely execution and accurate bookings.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects including new product rollouts, system improvements, and regulatory enhancements.
  • Maintaining daily controls, reporting, and compliance with governance and procedure frameworks.
Requirements

We are seeking someone detail-driven and proactive who thrives in a client-facing operations role. You'll have:

  • 3–5 years ideally of experience in Capital Markets Operations.
  • Strong product knowledge across FX, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives and MM instruments.
  • Familiarity with trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and allocation flows.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • A high level of initiative and ability to resolve issues autonomously.
  • Strong academics and a degree in Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Flexibility to work staggered hours (approx. 10–11am start / 7–8pm finish) to align with offshore teams.
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship is essential.
Benefits

As a valued member of our team, you'll gain exposure to senior leadership, global operations, and a diverse range of Capital Markets products. Enjoy a competitive salary, bonus, and development opportunities in a hybrid culture that combines global support with strong local autonomy.

Other Opportunities

Work closely with Front Office Sales & Trading, and be part of a globally recognised institution in growth mode. Join our dynamic team and take advantage of modern facilities in Sydney CBD offices.
