Senior Strategic Leader

The successful candidate will champion the future of Australia's cities and real estate capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop public debates and campaigns on issues relevant to real estate capital markets and institutional investment in property.
  • Lead communications campaigns in support of advocacy & branding objectives.
  • Advocate for real estate capital markets and institutional investment in property.
  • Use a strong understanding of tax and capital markets settings to develop an evidence base, research, policy positions, and submissions to support industry interests with 'high touch' member input.
  • Partner with Membership and Partnerships to retain and attract members.
  • Design and deliver the Property Leaders' Summit and Capital Markets Forum to provide deep value to members and strong commercial returns.
  • Set the overall strategy and business plan for Capital Markets as a part of the broader National Advocacy team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in similar leadership role.
  • Strategic and agile thinking with exceptional communication skills.
  • Inclusive, high performing leadership style demonstrated at senior levels.
  • Superior experience of complex government, political and policy development processes.
  • Significant advocacy and policy shaping credentials.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving smarts.
  • Able to lead teams and work across organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain multiple strategic alliances and networks.
  • Strong understanding of political and policy development processes.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and institutional investment.
  • Tertiary education in politics, public affairs, economics, law, or similar.
