Procurement Category Manager

Description:

The Procurement Category Manager is a key role within procurement, responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies across direct spend categories.

  • This is an end-to-end source-to-contract role, evaluating the supplier landscape, reviewing spend analysis, leading sourcing activities and tenders through to contract award.
  • The successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders to deliver operational, commercial and compliance objectives while ensuring price, risk, quality and ESG considerations are optimized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement category strategies across direct spend categories.
  • Evaluate the supplier landscape, review spend analysis, lead sourcing activities and tenders through to contract award.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to deliver operational, commercial and compliance objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in managing direct spend categories and raw materials within construction, building, civil engineering or similar.
  • Expertise in spend analysis and strategic sourcing for industrial categories leading to optimal pricing agreements without compromising product quality, supply risk or environmental considerations.
  • Established network of suppliers across manufacturing, building materials and construction sectors.
