About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate support worker to provide daily living assistance, social, and recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. As a support worker, you will be responsible for assisting with personal care, meal preparation, managing complex behaviors, effective communication with healthcare staff and participants' families, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing of participants.
  • Meals Preparation: Prepare healthy meals tailored to participants' dietary needs.
  • Complex Behaviours: Work with participants who may exhibit physical or verbal aggression, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with healthcare staff and participants' families to ensure their needs are met.
  • Administration: Complete essential reporting and administrative tasks to maintain accurate records.
  • Social Participation: Encourage participants to engage in community activities promoting social skills and independence.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in disability support is preferred, with a focus on delivering high-quality support services.
  • Licences/Certifications: First Aid Certification, Working with Children Check, National Police Certificate, Driver Licence, and NDIS Screening Check are highly regarded.
