About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team.

This role involves supporting participants with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The position requires working with participants who have both low and complex needs, including those who may need assistance with medication prompts or exhibit complex behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and meals preparation
  • Support participants with complex behaviors
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Transport participants
  • Encourage social and community participation

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Building rapport with staff, participants, and their families
  • Liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals and ambitions
  • Increasing participants' skills through active support and promoting independence
  • Providing quality support in line with participants' plans, needs, and wants
  • Assisting participants in accessing their social community
  • Implementing strategies to develop/enhance participant skills
