Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Configuration Manager. This position will be responsible for managing configuration data, vehicle records, and technical documentation that inform the lifecycle management of Australia's Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle fleet.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience in data and configuration management within the Defence sector, preferably with armoured combat vehicle systems or similar complex military platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage comprehensive configuration control processes throughout their lifecycle, including baseline establishment, change management, and audit support.
  • Oversee vehicle technical data packages, configuration records, and maintenance history to support sustainment and upgrade activities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, sustainment, logistics, and operational teams to ensure configuration data validates vehicle readiness and supports Defence operational requirements.

A strong proficiency with Configuration Management Tools such as TeamCentre and experience with Defence asset and maintenance management systems (AMPS, SCPM) is essential. A relevant degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is also required. Mandatory possession of an active NV1 or above Defence Security Clearance is mandatory.
