Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage data and configuration processes for land vehicle systems. The successful candidate will maintain accurate baselines, manage change control throughout the vehicle lifecycle phases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the capability and readiness of Australia's land vehicle fleet. You will work closely with teams supporting various vehicle platforms, such as tactical transport, logistics platforms, commercial fleets, and specialist support vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years of defence-related experience in data and configuration management, with a focus on land vehicle platforms or complex Defence systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, documenting, and scheduling project Configuration Control Boards, collecting, verifying, and controlling configuration data from engineering, maintenance, and operational sources.

You will also use Configuration Management Tools (CMT-L/ERP) to input Configuration Item data, maintain and provide quality assurance of data records, and support technical certification for various Mission System upgrades.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years defence-related experience in data and configuration management with a focus on land vehicle platforms or complex Defence systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Defence Configuration Management policies.
  • Proven experience with Configuration Management Tools such as CMT-L, TeamCentre or ERP. JIRA experience is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills with experience managing technical data packages, configuration audits, and sustainment records.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary Defence project and sustainment teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related discipline; minimum Advanced Diploma or equivalent Defence experience considered.
  • Active NV1 or above Defence Security Clearance mandatory.
