Job Opportunity:

A highly skilled and motivated individual is sought after to join our planning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, optimising inventory, and maximising profitability through the development and execution of merchandise planning strategies.

The role requires a high level of analytical skills and retail expertise to develop merchandise plans, analyse sales performance, and manage inventory levels.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute seasonal merchandise and category plans aligned with financial goals.
  • Use sales data, market trends, and analytics to forecast demand and shape product assortments by category and SKU.
  • Monitor and manage in-season inventory, optimising stock levels, sell-through, and minimising excess.
  • Contribute to allocation and replenishment strategies for optimal product availability across all channels.
  • Analyse sales metrics and performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and collaborate cross-functionally to align planning with broader business objectives.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.


Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in this field with ideas on how a progressive merchandise team could challenge the norm.
  • Strong communicator and clearly conveys information and ideas in a focused, appropriate, and effective manner.
  • Negotiation skills coupled with those all-important interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to hit deadlines and work that extra mile to get the job done on time.
