Mental Health Care Specialist

Job Description
This position provides evidence based psychological assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and treatment of psychopathology as it is manifested in cognitive, emotional, motivational, personality and behavioural disturbances.
Patients/clients/consumers will be seen individually and may be seen in groups for treatment.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience within the provision of clinical psychology interventions in the fields of oncology and/or surgery; therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy and working with families.
This position requires a strong understanding of current research and practice in clinical psychology, particularly in the field of oncology and palliative care.
