About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Management Specialist to join our global finance business. Our company disrupts traditional practices by offering innovative finance products for hospitality businesses, helping them start and grow.
Our commitment to supporting our customers' success has invested over $1.5 billion in the hospitality industry globally. In this role, you will conduct internal audits according to our annual plan, ensuring effective risk management strategies and processes are executed.
You will evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal systems and recommend improvements to our control environment. Additionally, you will assist with special projects and risk/compliance tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits as per the annual audit plan, ensuring recommendations are implemented.
- Perform independent risk assessments and provide suggestions to enhance the control environment.
- Participate in key stakeholder meetings to ensure business risks are considered during decision-making processes.
- Foster a deep understanding of our risk appetite and improve overall risk knowledge.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a risk and audit role within a financial services organization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging with staff at all levels.
- A pragmatic approach balancing commercial needs with risk requirements.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office and financial/customer relationship management systems.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
