Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Occupational Therapist, you will be working in a supportive environment with excellent clinical exposure.

  • Plan, implement, document and evaluate occupational therapy assessments and treatments for identified patient groups.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet objectives focused on consumer recovery.
  • Engage in formal training, regular supervision, reflective practice and on-the-job learning as part of the graduate development program.
  • Complete two six-month clinical rotations in Mental Health and Wellbeing Service areas.
  • Attend monthly study days facilitated by the Mental Health Professional Development Unit and complete required assessments for program completion.

Clinical Rotations

As a Graduate Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in Mental Health and Wellbeing Service areas through two six-month clinical rotations.

  • Mental Health Rotation
  • Wellbeing Service Rotation

These rotations will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in these areas and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Professional Development

Our graduate development program is designed to support your growth and development as an occupational therapist.

  • Structured 12-month program with clinical rotations.
  • Monthly study days and professional development facilitated by the Mental Health Professional Development Unit.
  • Opportunities for reflective practice, supervision and on-the-job learning.

This program will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your career as an occupational therapist.

In addition to your clinical rotations, you will also have access to regular supervision and reflective practice sessions to help you develop your skills and address any challenges you may be facing.
