About the Role

Local Peoples is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in the ACT. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with our Government clients to identify business needs and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis
    • Conduct business discovery and co-design workshops, interviews, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders/working groups.
    • Identify business needs and develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and technical requirements.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and implement business process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Conduct analysis of systems and business processes, process mapping, user stories, use cases, data migration source-to-target mapping, specifications, and wireframes.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the ability to act as the team's representative in meetings with business units.
    • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, presentations, product backlog management and user acceptance testing.
  • Documentation
    • Design, manage, and refine business processes, user journeys, and other supporting documents as necessary.
    • Develop artifacts to support requirements definition, such as process models, operational concepts, prototypes, and insights derived from data.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working within Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience managing discoveries, co-design activities (workshops, interviews etc), process modelling, journey mapping, user stories, management of requirements within a product backlog.
  • Hold a current ASGVA Baseline clearance or be able to obtain one.
  • Australian Citizen.
